Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BillCheck, a billing and business-management web application operated by Karthik Mogera (trading as BillCheck) ("BillCheck", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using BillCheck you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
BillCheck lets businesses such as restaurants, retail shops, salons and pharmacies create bills and receipts, manage menus or products, staff, tables, inventory and expenses, share bills on WhatsApp and view sales reports. Features available to you depend on your plan.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate business and contact details and keep your password and staff PINs confidential.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by staff you add.
- You must be legally able to enter into a contract in India to use BillCheck for your business.
3. Free trial
New accounts receive a free trial (currently 30 days) with no payment details required. When the trial ends you need a paid plan to continue creating bills. Your data is not deleted when a trial or plan ends; it is kept so you can subscribe later.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- BillCheck offers Starter, Professional and Premium plans, billed monthly or annually, at the prices shown on our pricing page at the time you pay. Prices are in Indian Rupees.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). We do not see or store your card or bank details.
- Each purchase gives you access for the period you paid for. Plans do not renew automatically; you choose when to renew.
- We may change prices or plan features for future purchases. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Refunds and cancellation are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Your data and your responsibilities
- You own the data you enter into BillCheck (items, prices, customers, bills). You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the bills you create, for the tax rates, GSTIN and licence numbers you enter, and for complying with GST, food-safety, drug and other laws that apply to your business. BillCheck is a tool and does not provide tax or legal advice.
- You are responsible for obtaining any consent needed to store customer or patient details (such as mobile numbers) and to send them bills on WhatsApp.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse BillCheck: no unlawful or fraudulent billing, no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, no sharing of your account to avoid plan limits, and no uploading of harmful or infringing content. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep BillCheck available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Printer, Bluetooth and WhatsApp features also depend on your devices, browser and third-party services. We may improve, change or retire features, and will try to give notice of material changes.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, BillCheck is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by third-party services, your devices or your internet connection. Please keep your own records of important bills.
10. Ending your account
You may stop using BillCheck at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On request we will help you export your data where reasonably possible.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have.
